Maple Leafs' Scott Laughton: Contributes helper in loss
Laughton notched an assist, two hits and two PIM in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Senators in Game 1.
Laughton set up Oliver Ekman-Larsson on the opening goal at 7:09 of the first period. For now, Laughton is holding down a role as the fourth-line center. He could move around the lineup once David Kampf gets back in, but Laughton is not expected to be a scratch. In the regular season, Laughton combined for 31 points, 125 shots on net, 178 hits, 54 blocked shots and a minus-18 rating over 80 appearances between Toronto and Philadelphia.

Laughton scored a goal in a 4-3 overtime win over the Red Wings on Thursday.
Laughton scored 56 seconds into overtime off a rebound to deliver the win. Laughton had just two points -- one goal and one assist -- in his previous 19 games.

Maple Leafs' Scott Laughton: Pockets assist Tuesday
Laughton recorded an assist, three hits, three blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 4-0 win over the Sabres.
Laughton's offense hasn't been very impressive, but his defensive work has kept him in Toronto's lineup since he was traded from Philadelphia. The 30-year-old Laughton has three points over 19 outings with the Maple Leafs. Overall, he's at 30 points, 122 shots on net, 175 hits, 53 blocked shots and a minus-20 rating over 79 appearances this season. He remains on the Maple Leafs' fourth line.

Maple Leafs' Scott Laughton: Slides helper Sunday
Laughton managed an assist and two hits in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Ducks.
Laughton has two points over his last three games. The 30-year-old is still adjusting to a smaller role with the Maple Leafs than he had with the Flyers, and that's likely to suppress his offense the rest of the way. Laughton is at 29 points, 114 shots on net, 159 hits, 43 blocked shots and a minus-22 rating through 72 appearances this season.

Maple Leafs' Scott Laughton: Nets first goal with new team
Laughton scored a goal on two shots, added two hits and blocked two shots in Thursday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Sharks.
Laughton snapped a 14-game point drought that dated back to his time with the Flyers. The 30-year-old was traded to the Maple Leafs at the deadline, and while he's been a constant in a bottom-six role, offense has been hard to come by. This was his first goal and point for Toronto, giving him a total of 12 tallies, 28 points, 113 shots on net, 154 hits, 42 blocked shots and a minus-21 rating over 70 appearances this season.

Maple Leafs' Scott Laughton: Should be fine despite leaving game
Laughton left Saturday's game against Ottawa midway through the third period and did not return after taking a stick near his eye, Dave McCarthy of NHL.com reports.
Laughton left the ice with both eyes open, and coach Craig Berube told reporters after the game that the new Leaf needed a few stitches but would be fine. Laughton had already picked up a fighting major earlier in the contest and delivered three hits.

Maple Leafs' Scott Laughton: Joining hometown team
Laughton was traded to Toronto from Philadelphia on Friday along with a fourth round and a sixth-round pick in exchange for a 2027 first-round selection and Nikita Grebenkin, Chris Johnston of The Athletic reports.
Laughton joins the Leafs needing to get out of a funk, having scored just once in his last 12 contests. Unless he shifts to the wing, it seems unlikely the Ontario native will take on a top-six role with his new club, though he could get minutes with the No. 2 power-play unit. It would take a strong finish to the season, but the 40-point threshold isn't completely out of the question for the 30-year-old Laughton.

Flyers' Scott Laughton: Scores opening goal Saturday
Laughton scored a goal, blocked two shots and added three hits in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Penguins.
Laughton's tally was inside the first two minutes of Saturday's contest and gave the Flyers their first lead of the game. The 30-year-old center now has 11 goals, 26 points, 95 shots on net and 113 hits in 54 games this season. Laughton's goal Saturday ended a five-game drought without a point. Over the past few contests, he has been skating on Philadelphia's top power-play unit. He is currently on pace to match his point total of 39 from a year ago. Laughton's current role with the Flyers gives him some fantasy value in deep leagues.

Flyers' Scott Laughton: Two points in return
Laughton produced a goal and an assist in Monday's 4-2 win over the Devils.
After Joel Farabee banged home the rebound on a Laughton shot midway through the first period, the veteran center iced the game with an empty-netter late in the third. Laughton had missed the prior three games while attending to a personal matter, and Monday's multi-point performance was his first since Dec. 29. Despite a diminished role on the power play compared to 2023-24, Laughton is still on pace for his usual output this season, collecting 10 goals and 25 points in 48 appearances.

Flyers' Scott Laughton: Ruled out against Wings
Laughton (personal) will not be in the lineup versus Detroit on Tuesday.
Laughton has been struggling offensively of late, going seven games without finding the back of the net while also managing just one helper over that stretch. Despite the slump, Laughton should still be capable of reaching the 30-point threshold for the fourth consecutive season this year. In his stead, Rodrigo Abols will make his NHL debut in Tuesday's tilt.

The 30-year-old Laughton is up to nine goals, 22 points, 74 shots, 91 hits, 22 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating through 40 appearances this season. It's right in line with his usual pace in most categories, which makes Laughton a decent depth option in fantasy despite a lack of power-play time.

Flyers' Scott Laughton: One of each Sunday
Laughton scored a goal and added an assist in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Kings.
Laughton and Matvei Michkov set up each other's goals in this contest after being united on the second line. The 30-year-old Laughton hadn't scored over the previous six games, though he had five assists in that span following his four-goal game Dec. 12 against the Red Wings. The veteran forward is up to eight goals, 21 points, 69 shots on net, 83 hits, 21 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating through 37 appearances. His defensive duties will occasionally take focus, but he's consistent enough to help in deep fantasy formats.

Flyers' Scott Laughton: Dishes pair of assists
Laughton notched two assists, four shots on goal, three hits and a plus-2 rating in Monday's 7-3 loss to the Penguins.
Laughton hasn't gone completely quiet since his four-goal game versus the Red Wings on Dec. 12. The 30-year-old has four helpers over his last five outings, which included him assisting goals by Egor Zamula and Sean Couturier in Monday's loss. Laughton is up to 18 points, 65 shots on net, 80 hits, 20 blocked shots and a minus-10 rating over 35 appearances. He's a bottom-six forward by nature, but the kind that tends to be trusted by head coach John Tortorella. Laughton is on pace for roughly 40 points, so he can be rostered in deeper fantasy formats.
