Top J.T. Miller News

  • Canucks' J.T. Miller: Contributes helper in loss

Miller logged an assist and four shots on goal in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Sabres.

Miller has three assists over his last two outings following a five-game drought. The 31-year-old is now at 32 points, 72 shots on net, 79 hits, 30 PIM and a minus-5 rating through 36 appearances this season. He's in a top-six role for the Canucks currently, and while trade rumors are swirling, it doesn't look like any deal is close enough yet to make the team consider sitting Miller out.

  • Canucks' J.T. Miller: Pair of power-play assists in win

Miller recorded two power-play assists, logged two PIM and won 18 of 23 faceoffs in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Oilers.

This performance ended a five-game point drought for Miller. There was some doubt as to whether the 31-year-old would suit up Saturday -- Rick Dhaliwal of CHEK reported earlier in the day that trade talk involving Miller has ramped up, though the forward has yet to be asked to waive his no-movement clause. Miller has eight goals, 23 assists, 68 shots on net, 78 hits, 30 PIM and a minus-6 rating over 35 appearances. The Canucks' middling season has had an impact on Miller's production, and he could benefit from a change of scenery if a good trade fit arrives.

  • Canucks' J.T. Miller: Four points not enough Monday

Miller scored two goals and added two assists, one on the power play, in Monday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Canadiens.

The four points were a season high for Miller, while the goals were his first in 12 contests since returning to the Canucks in mid-December after a 10-game absence for personal reasons. Through 29 appearances this season, Miller has eight goals and 29 points along with 67 hits, 57 shots on net, 24 PIM, 17 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating.

  • Canucks' J.T. Miller: Notches assist Thursday

Miller produced an assist, four PIM and two blocked shots in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over the Kraken.

Miller has racked up six helpers during a five-game streak. However, this was the fifth time in 10 contests Miller hasn't logged a shot on goal. Not taking shots will make it tough to break his ongoing goal drought -- he has just 15 shots on net in that span. For the season, the 31-year-old center has six goals, 19 helpers, 50 shots, 59 hits, 24 PIM and a minus-2 rating through 27 appearances in a top-six role.

The 31-year-old center has 23 points, 45 shots on net, 56 hits, 13 PIM and a minus-2 rating over 25 appearances in 2024-25, so he continues to be productive in a top-six role.

  • Canucks' J.T. Miller: Adds power-play helper

Miller notched a power-play assist, four shots on goal, five hits and four blocked shots in Monday's 4-3 win over the Sharks.

Miller has a helper in back-to-back games and five assists over his last seven outings. The 31-year-old topped 20 minutes for just the second time in that span. He now has six goals, 15 assists, seven power-play points, 43 shots on net, 54 hits and a minus-1 rating through 24 appearances this season. Another 100-point season is likely out of the question, but Miller should flirt with a point-per-game pace the rest of the way.

  • Canucks' J.T. Miller: Generates assist

Miller notched an assist and went minus-2 in Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Senators.

Miller helped out on a Quinn Hughes tally late in the first period. The 31-year-old Miller has four helpers over his last six games and continues to see top-six minutes, though not at the same volume as in previous seasons. He's contributed six goals, 14 assists, 39 shots on net, 49 hits and a minus-1 rating through 23 appearances, and he's not blocking a lot of shots after logging at least 50 blocks in three straight campaigns. Miller still has all-around appeal in fantasy, but his recent struggles make him a buy-low target.

  • Canucks' J.T. Miller: Two helpers in return

Miller logged two assists in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Panthers.

Miller took a personal leave and was out for the previous 10 games. The 31-year-old logged a modest 14:17 of ice time Thursday, though many of the Canucks' top players saw fewer minutes in the lopsided win. This was Miller's sixth multi-point effort of the campaign. He has six goals, 12 helpers, six power-play points, 35 shots on net, 31 hits and a plus-2 rating over 18 appearances. Fantasy managers shouldn't hesitate to activate the center.

  • Canucks' J.T. Miller: Set to return Thursday

Miller (personal) will return to the Canucks' lineup Thursday versus Florida, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.

Miller didn't participate in Vancouver's previous 10 games. He has six goals and 16 points in 17 outings in 2024-25. Now that Miller is back, he should serve in a top-six capacity and on the first power-play unit. Pius Suter might see a reduction in his ice time as a result.

Miller (personal) skated with the Canucks on Tuesday but won't be in the lineup against the Blues, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.

Miller's return to the ice certainly seems like a positive sign with Thursday's clash with Florida a possible return date, per Ben Kuzma of Postmedia. The 31-year-old center will miss his 10th game Tuesday and should probably be considered day-to-day at this point.

The 31-year-old center is up to five goals, eight assists, four power-play points, 30 shots on net, 26 hits and a plus-2 rating through 14 outings this season. He plays key minutes in all situations and should continue to maintain a high level on offense.

  • Canucks' J.T. Miller: Deposits empty-netter

Miller scored an empty-net goal on two shots, added two hits and went plus-2 in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Kings.

The goal was Miller's first since Oct. 26 -- he had three assists over the four games in between tallies. The 31-year-old center is up to five goals, 11 points, 25 shots on net, 21 hits, nine PIM and a plus-4 rating over 12 appearances. He remains one of the Canucks' most important forwards in all situations, and that's even more clear with Elias Pettersson off to a rough start in 2024-25. Miller should be active in fantasy lineups virtually every time the Canucks play.
