Giants' Kayvon Thibodeaux: Pops up on injury report
Thibodeaux (shoulder) was listed as limited on the Giants' injury report Wednesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Thibodeaux played a higher percentage of the team's defensive snaps in Week 2 than he did in Week 1, so it's not exactly clear how and when he suffered the injury. However, as New York begins to prep for Sunday's matchup with the Browns, the Oregon product will be considered questionable for the game. His practice status for Thursday and Friday will be worth monitoring and will likely provide better clarity on his chances of suiting up.

Giants' Kayvon Thibodeaux: Working in new defensive scheme
Thibodeaux and fellow edge rusher Brian Burns will be heavily depended upon to pressure the quarterback this season under new defensive coordinator Shane Bowen, Matt Citak of the team's official site reports.
Under since-ousted defensive coordinator Wink Martindale last year, the Giants blitzed 46.2 percent of the time, the second-highest rate in the league. Meanwhile, Bowen's Tennessee Titan defense blitzed on just 20.4 percent of defensive plays -- 24th in the NFL. Bowen's approach is likely to carry over to his work with New York, which means that Thibodeaux's and Burns' importance as pass rushers will be magnified. That could lead to Thibodeaux ascending to new heights after breaking out with 11.5 sacks in his second NFL campaign last year.
