Broncos' Tyler Badie: Two carries in wild-card loss
Badie rushed twice for eight yards in Sunday's 31-7 wild-card round loss to the Bills.
Badie played just three of the Broncos' 42 offensive snaps in his first game back from a long stint on injured reserve due to a back injury suffered in Week 4. The 24-year-old running back missed the remainder of the regular season, finishing the year with just 11 carries for 86 yards while catching all three of his targets for minus-2 yards. Badie also lost one fumble in his three games played. The Missouri product remains under contract for the 2025 season, and he'll likely compete with fellow running backs Jaleel McLaughlin and Audric Estime next season while Javonte Williams could be headed out of Denver as an unrestricted free agent this offseason. The Broncos could, however, choose to sign a free-agent running back this offseason or address the position in the draft, adding more competition ahead of the 2025 campaign.

Broncos' Tyler Badie: Active versus Bills
Badie (back) is active for Sunday's wild-card round game against the Bills.
Badie, who landed on IR after suffering an injury during Week 4 action, was activated by the Broncos on Saturday and is thus set to provide postseason depth in a backfield that also includes Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin. With Badie back in the mix versus Buffalo, RBs Audric Estime and Blake Watson were made inactive by Denver in the team's postseason opener.

Badie has been on injured reserve since early October due to a back injury that he suffered in Week 4 against the Jets. He's still listed as questionable for Sunday's AFC wild-card game against the Bills, but he should be able to play given his full practice participation throughout the week and his activation off IR. Badie (back), who remains on IR, is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's road AFC wild-card round game against the Bills, Susanna Weir of the Broncos' official site reports.
Badie logged a trio of full practices this week, but he'll need to be officially brought off IR by Saturday's deadline in order to be eligible to play Sunday. Badie was originally listed as questionable for Sunday's contest after practicing in full all week. However, the Missouri product has been downgraded to out and will remain on injured reserve through Week 17. With Badie now officially ruled out, the Broncos' running back room will likely consist of Javonte Williams, Audric Estime, Jaleel McLaughlin and Blake Watson.

Broncos' Tyler Badie: Full participant in return to field
Badie (back) was a full participant in his return to practice Wednesday.
After being designated for return from injured reserve earlier Wednesday and having his 21-day practice window opened, Badie faced no restrictions while taking part in his first on-field work since Week 4. The third-year running back has spent the past two and a half months recuperating from a back injury he suffered in a Sept. 29 win over the Jets, so the Broncos may want him to turn in more than just one week of practice before activating him from IR. Denver signed Blake Watson off their practice squad Wednesday to bolster its depth in the backfield, which lessens the need for the team to rush Badie back from IR in advance of Saturday's game in Cincinnati.

Badie was placed on IR on Oct. 5, just a few days after he collapsed on the sideline upon suffering a back injury in the Broncos' Week 4 win over the Jets. The Broncos placed Badie (back) on injured reserve Saturday, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports.
Head coach Sean Payton said Wednesday that Badie was a candidate to go on injured reserve after the 24-year-old running back was carted off the field during the Broncos' Week 4 win over the Jets. Badie will be forced to miss at least the next four games, making Week 9 against the Ravens on Nov. 3 the earliest he can return.

Badie (back) has full movement of his arms and legs and is back at team facilities after leaving Sunday's 10-9 win over the Jets on a stretcher, but he may be placed on IR, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Badie suffered a back injury Sunday during a tackle by Quincy Williams, which forced a fumble. The running back was able to join his teammates on the sideline, but Badie then had to be taken off the field on a stretcher. The Broncos haven't offered a timeline for his recovery, but if Badie ends up being placed on IR he'll be required to miss at least four games.
