Nick Williams: Cut by Denver for third time
The Broncos waived Williams on Sunday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
Williams rejoined the Broncos on Aug. 1 after wide receiver Tim Patrick was placed on injured reserve with an Achilles injury. Williams dressed for Denver's preseason finale against the Rams on Saturday but did not record a catch. It's possible he could return to the Broncos on their practice squad once he clears waivers.

Nick Williams: Brought back by Denver
Williams agreed to terms with the Broncos on Tuesday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.
In the wake of wide receiver Tim Patrick's Achilles injury Monday, the Broncos signed Williams, who they waived just three days prior. The UNLV product was signed by Denver as an undrafted free agent in 2023. He'll be competing for a depth spot within the team's wide receiver room ahead of the coming season.

Williams was signed by the Broncos on Tuesday, but the team decided to waive him shortly thereafter in a move that corresponded with the signing of wide receiver Michael Bandy. It's the second time that Williams has been let go by the Broncos this offseason after initially signing as an undrafted free agent in June before being waived a week later to make room for Frank Clark. Williams posted 28 catches for 435 yards and two touchdowns in his 2022 season at UNLV.

The Broncos signed Williams on Tuesday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.
Williams will now return to Denver, where he signed as an undrafted free agent in June only to be released a week later. The 6-foot-4 receiver will look to compete for a roster spot after recording 28 catches for 435 yards and two touchdowns during his lone season at UNLV.
