Seahawks' Byron Murphy: Won't play Week 5
Murphy (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Giants, Corbin K. Smith of SI.com reports.
Murphy sustained a hamstring injury during the Seahawks' Week 3 win over the Dolphins and didn't practice all week, so it's no surprise that he'll miss Sunday's contest. With the 2024 first-round pick sidelined for another week, expect Mike Morris to serve as the Seahawks' top rotational defensive end.

Seahawks' Byron Murphy: Considered unavailable Wednesday
Murphy was estimated to be a non-participant at the Seahawks' walkthrough Wednesday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Murphy missed the team's 42-29 loss to the Lions on Monday Night Football due to a hamstring injury that he suffered the week prior and he still appears to be working his way back from it to open this week. The defensive tackle will look to return to practice ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Giants, though he seems unlikely to be able to go in Week 5. If he sits, Mike Morris is a candidate to see an increased workload again versus New York.

Seahawks' Byron Murphy: Ruled out for Week 4
Murphy (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Monday's game against the Lions, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Murphy has been held out of practice all week due to a hamstring injury he picked up during Seattle's Week 3 win over Miami. The rookie first-round pick's next chance at playing will be Week 5 against the Giants, though Murphy's hamstring injury is severe enough that he could be out for more than just one game, as reported by Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com on Wednesday. With starting defensive end Leonard Williams (ribs) also not playing Monday, Mike Morris is the top candidate to start opposite Jarran Reed while Myles Adams provides rotational depth.

Seahawks' Byron Murphy: Exits early
Murphy (hamstring) has left Sunday's game against the Dolphins.
Murphy exited in the second quarter and is questionable to return. His absence is compounded by the exit of Leonard Williams as well due to a rib injury. For now, the only healthy defensive linemen Seattle has are Mike Morris, Jarran Reed and Johnathan Hankins.

Seahawks' Byron Murphy: Won't return Sunday
Murphy (hamstring) will not return to Sunday's game against the Dolphins.
The Seahawks lost both Murphy and Leonard Williams (ribs) to injures versus Miami, and neither player will return. It's a huge blow to Seattle's defensive line depth. With Myles Adams inactive, the Seahawks are left with Jarran Reed, Johnathan Hankins and Mike Morris on the defensive line for the rest of Sunday's contest.
