Buccaneers' Jordan Whitehead: Continues steady start to campaign
Whitehead registered six tackles (five solo) in a 33-16 Week 4 victory over the Eagles on Sunday.
Whitehead tied for second on the Buccaneers in stops behind linebacker Lavonte David. The safety is coming off a career-best 97 stops last season as a member of the Jets.

Buccaneers' Jordan Whitehead: Set for Sunday
Whitehead (undisclosed) is good to go this week according to head coach Todd Bowles, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Whitehead returned to practice last week after missing a significant amount of training camp and not suiting up in a single preseason game due to an undisclosed issue. Despite the extended absence, it appears it's all systems go for the Pittsburgh product, and he should be getting the start at strong safety Sunday against the Commanders.

Buccaneers' Jordan Whitehead: Gets back on practice field
Whitehead (quadriceps) will resume practicing Tuesday, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
Whitehead missed the majority of training camp and all three of Tampa Bay's preseason contests due to a lingering quadriceps injury, so it's encouraging to see him back at practice in at least a limited capacity. The starting safety has just under two weeks remaining to get fully healthy prior to the Buccaneers' regular-season opener against Washington on Sept. 8.

Buccaneers' Jordan Whitehead: Still sidelined
Whitehead (quadriceps) remains sidelined with a quad injury, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
It has been one week since Whitehead sustained the injury at practice. The team has not yet given any sort of timetable for his return. When healthy, the 27-year-old is projected to start next to Antoine Winfield at safety in the Buccaneers' secondary in the upcoming season. While he is sidelined, Rashad Wisdom will presumably get plenty of reps at strong safety.

Buccaneers' Jordan Whitehead: Misses time with injury
Whitehead is nursing a quadriceps injury Thursday, but he should be back to practice in a couple of days, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

Buccaneers' Jordan Whitehead: Back in groove with Winfield
Whitehead, who signed with the Buccaneers this offseason after spending the last two seasons with the Jets, is already working seamlessly with fellow safety Antoine Winfield in training camp, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.
Whitehead spent the first four seasons of his career with the Buccaneers before departing for his two-year sojourn in the Big Apple. The veteran safety is coming off a 2023 campaign where he picked off a career-high four passes, and head coach Todd Bowles notes Whitehead returned with improved footwork, deep coverage ability and football IQ. Whitehead is also now reunited with Winfield, who he played alongside during the latter's first two seasons, and the duo has had no trouble reestablishing chemistry. "They're both playing off each other, talking to each other, figuring out what they want to do disguise-wise," safeties coach Nick Rapone said. "Yeah, it's exactly what we thought it would be."
