  • Texans' Dalton Schultz: Season-best 66 yards

Schultz recorded three receptions on four targets for 66 yards in Sunday's 26-23 loss to the Lions. Schultz earned fewer than five targets for only the second time since Week 3, which came as a surprise given the absence of Nico Collins (hamstring) and Stefon Diggs (knee). However, Schultz still managed his highest yardage total of the season, primarily thanks to a 32-yard reception early in the third quarter. Though it was a positive performance, Schultz has still managed to top 35 yards in only two games for the campaign.

  • Texans' Dalton Schultz: Could see increased targets

Schultz could see a higher-than-usual number of targets in Sunday night's game against the Lions with Houston's top two wideouts questionable for Week 10. Schultz had been a forgotten component in the passing offense to start the season, but injuries have hit the wideout group since Week 1. Stefon Diggs (knee) is done for the season, Nico Collins (IR, hamstring) was designated to return from IR but logged one limited practice Friday and is questionable, and Tank Dell (back) popped up on Friday's injury report and is questionable. Schultz is averaging five targets per game for the season and has seen at least six throws come his way in four of the last five weeks, coinciding with the stretch of time that injuries began impacting the wide receivers. After catching five touchdowns during his first season in Houston, Schultz is still looking for his first score in 2024.

  • Texans' Dalton Schultz: TEs to Sit

Schultz failed to take advantage of Nico Collins (hamstring) being out for the past four games, and Stefon Diggs (knee) also missed Week 9. For the season, Schultz has failed to score double digits in PPR in any outing, and he's yet to score a touchdown. Collins is expected to return in Week 10 against the Lions, and Detroit is No. 2 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends. Only one tight end has scored a touchdown against the Lions this season, and Schultz is not worth trusting at this point in the year.

  • Texans' Dalton Schultz: Modest output in Week 9 loss

Schultz secured three of six targets for 21 yards in the Texans' 21-13 loss to the Jets on Thursday night. Despite the absence of both Stefon Diggs (IR, knee) and Nico Collins (IR, hamstring), Schultz continued to operate in a modest role that left him with eighth sub-35-yard tally of the season. The veteran tight end has topped out at four receptions as far as a single-game high during the 2024 campaign, and with Collins expected to return for a Week 10 home clash against the Lions on Sunday, Nov. 10, Schultz is likely to remain in a largely fantasy-irrelevant role.

  • Texans' Dalton Schultz: Week 9 Waiver Priority List

The Texans need Schultz with Stefon Diggs (knee) out for the season, and Nico Collins (hamstring) remains on injured reserve. Schultz just had his best game of the season in Week 8 against the Colts with four catches for 52 yards on six targets, and hopefully, he can find the end zone for the first time this year in Week 9 against the Jets. Schultz is worth adding for 5-10 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Texans' Dalton Schultz: Sees uptick in production Sunday

Schultz secured four of six targets for 52 yards in the Texans' 23-20 win over the Colts on Sunday. Schultz tied for second on the team in receptions and targets while also serving as the runner-up in receiving yards. The veteran tight end's receiving yardage total was a season high as well, and he's now recorded a trio of four-catch tallies in his last four games. Schultz should continue seeing a slightly elevated role in a Week 9 road matchup against the Jets on Thursday night, especially if Stefon Diggs (knee) joins Nico Collins (IR-hamstring) in street clothes.

  • Texans' Dalton Schultz: Sleeper TEs

I'm going to give Schultz one more chance to help Fantasy managers in Week 8 against the Colts, given the matchup. Indianapolis is No. 3 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends, and hopefully, C.J. Stroud can connect with Schultz in this game. Schultz hasn't benefited with Nico Collins (hamstring) out the past two games, but it's worth giving Schultz another look in Week 8, given the matchup.

  • Texans' Dalton Schultz: Sleepers (Start/Sit)

I'm going to give Schultz one more chance to help Fantasy managers in Week 8 against the Colts given the matchup. Indianapolis is No. 3 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends, and hopefully C.J. Stroud can connect with Schultz in this game. Schultz hasn't benefited with Nico Collins (hamstring) out the past two games, but it's worth giving Schultz another look in Week 8 given the matchup.

  • Texans' Dalton Schultz: Week 8 Waiver Priority List

Schultz hasn't benefited with Nico Collins (hamstring) out the past two games, but it's worth giving Schultz another look in Week 8 against the Colts. Indianapolis is No. 3 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends, and hopefully Schultz can deliver a quality stat line. He's been held to 7.4 PPR points or less in every game this season. Schultz is worth adding for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Texans' Dalton Schultz: One catch in Week 7 loss

Schultz caught one of two targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 24-22 loss to the Packers. Schultz's 28-yard catch in the first quarter was enough for him to finish as Houston's leading receiver, as C.J. Stroud threw for only 86 yards in arguably the worst performance of the second-year quarterback's career. Wide receiver Nico Collins (hamstring) will miss a third consecutive game in Week 8 against the Colts, so Schultz is poised to see decent target volume if Stroud gets back on track, as Schultz had 14 targets over Houston's previous two games coming into Sunday's loss.

  • Texans' Dalton Schultz: Sleeper TEs

In Houston's first game without Nico Collins (hamstring) in Week 6 at New England, Schultz saw eight targets, which was a season-high. He only managed four catches for 27 yards, but hopefully, the volume will remain constant until Collins is back. This week, Schultz is facing a Packers defense that has struggled with Colby Parkinson (12.2 PPR points in Week 5) and Trey McBride (17.6 PPR points in Week 6) in the past two games. Schultz should be considered a borderline starter in all leagues.

  • Texans' Dalton Schultz: Week 7 Streamers (TE Preview)

It didn't translate to Fantasy points but Schultz saw eight targets in his first game without Nico Collins. Last year he was much more reliable when one of the Texans wide receivers were missing. As with Parkinson, I'm banking on the target volume and ignoring the awful efficiency.

  • Texans' Dalton Schultz: Eight targets in win

Schultz caught four of eight targets for 27 yards in Sunday's 41-21 win over the Patriots. Schultz was given a season-high eight targets -- second most on the team -- as the Houston offense was without Nico Collins (hamstring), who is on injured reserve for at least another three games. Expect Schultz to get more looks while Collins remains sidelined, which could eventually translate into touchdowns. The tight end has yet to score in 2024.

  • Texans' Dalton Schultz: Sleeper TEs

We know now that Nico Collins (hamstring) is out for at least four games, and this is Schultz's time to shine. He's scored 7.4 PPR points or less in every game this season, but he does have 11 targets in his past two outings against the Jaguars and Bills. The targets will hopefully rise as C.J. Stroud needs help to replace Collins, and I like Schultz as a low-end starter in all leagues heading into Week 6 at New England. It helps that the Patriots have allowed three tight ends in the past three games to score at least 11.1 PPR points.

  • Texans' Dalton Schultz: Season-high six targets in win

Schultz caught four of six targets for 34 yards in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Bills in Week 5. For the second straight week, Schultz received a bump in targets with one of Houston's top three wideouts injured. After Nico Collins (hamstring) was removed from the game and Buffalo's defense made life difficult for quarterback C.J. Stroud in the second half, Schultz became a security blanket for the second-year quarterback. All six of the tight end's targets came during the third and fourth quarters, with four of them coming on third downs. Schultz received five looks last week when Tank Dell was inactive and has 16 targets over the last three games, compared to six over the first two games of the season.

  • Texans' Dalton Schultz: TEs to Sit

I thought Schultz would have played well in Week 4 against Jacksonville with Tank Dell (ribs) out, but Schultz managed just three catches for 34 yards on five targets. He's now scored 6.4 PPR points or less in four games in a row, and it's tough to trust him against the Bills with Dell expected to return. When all the Texans receivers are healthy, Schultz is only worth using in tight-end premium leagues.

  • Texans' Dalton Schultz: Five targets in win

Schultz caught three of five targets for 34 yards in Sunday's 24-20 win over Jacksonville. Schultz again dealt with an ankle injury during the practice week, but it hasn't prevented him from seeing significant action. In Week 3, he logged 96 percent of the offensive snaps, and the veteran tight end was on the field for 87 percent of plays Sunday. Schultz moved up to third on the target list with Tank Dell (chest) inactive for the game.

  • Texans' Dalton Schultz: Puts in full practice

Schultz (ankle) was a full participant in Thursday's practice. Schultz opened Week 4 prep Wednesday as a limited practice participant, but his ability to take every rep in Thursday's session clears up any lingering doubt about his availability for this Sunday's game against the Jaguars. Expect the tight end to once again take on ample playing time after he logged 96 percent of Houston's snaps on offense in the Week 3 loss to Minnesota. Schultz drew five targets against the Vikings, and he could see his role in the passing attack expand if either or both of Nico Collins (hamstring) and Tank Dell (chest) aren't cleared to play versus the Jaguars.

  • Texans' Dalton Schultz: Plays nearly every snap

Schultz caught two of five targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 34-7 loss to the Vikings. Schultz, who had been hobbled by an ankle injury during the practice week, was on the field for 96 percent of the offensive snaps. A season-ending injury to Brevin Jordan (knee) cleared out the only real threat to Schultz's volume, and his five targets Sunday were a season high.

  • Texans' Dalton Schultz: Takes every rep Thursday

Schultz (ankle) was a full participant in Thursday's practice. Schultz was a limited participant Wednesday in the Texans' first Week 3 practice session, but his ability to take every rep a day later clears the way for the tight end to suit up Sunday in Minnesota. Through the first two weeks of the season, Schultz has produced a 5-37-0 receiving line on six targets while playing at least 70 percent of the offensive snaps in both contests. With top backup Brevin Jordan (knee) suffering a season-ending ACL tear in Week 2, Schultz could see a slight uptick in his snap count moving forward.
