Lakers' LeBron James: Slump continues Monday
James finished Monday's 109-80 loss to the Timberwolves with 10 points (4-16 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), eight rebounds and four assists across 31 minutes.
The slump continues for James, who's now averaging 16.8 points and 5.0 turnovers per game while shooting 39.8 percent from the field and 10.0 percent from three-point range in his past six outings. James is too talented to continue slumping for an extended stretch, but it wouldn't be the worst thing if he gets a day off soon, as coach JJ Redick expressed following Monday's loss. "I don't know that's in the best interest of him and us if he does that, but if he's feeling well and feeling good, then he should play," Redick said when asked if James was still planning on playing in all 82 regular-season games, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN. "But we obviously want to ... manage that as best we can."

Lakers' LeBron James: Takes over game in fourth quarter
James produced 27 points (12-28 FG, 0-9 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five rebounds, 14 assists and two blocks across 36 minutes during Sunday's 105-104 victory over the Jazz.
Although the Lakers were short-handed and obviously weary from a grueling holiday weekend schedule, the team was able to pull out a win against the Jazz thanks to James' fourth-quarter heroics. During a span when Anthony Davis sat for rest, James took over the game in short order, firing shot after shot that all found the bottom of the basket. James' shooting percentage was hammered by going scoreless in nine attempts beyond the arc, but his 14 assists helped to offset the shooting woes.

Lakers' LeBron James: Triple-doubles vs. Spurs
James provided 16 points (8-18 FG, 0-2 3Pt), 10 rebounds, 11 assists, one block and one steal in 33 minutes during Wednesday's 119-101 win over the Spurs.
James didn't have his best shooting performance in this win, but that didn't matter much since he recorded his sixth triple-double of the season. The soon-to-be 40-year-old star forward continues to find ways to impact the game even if Anthony Davis is the go-to player on offense in the current scheme under new coach JJ Redick. Through his last 10 games, James is averaging 22.0 points, 9.3 rebounds, 10.7 assists and a combined 1.3 steals-plus-blocks. He's been outperforming even the most optimistic predictions about his numbers, and James isn't showing any signs of slowing down even in his 21st season in the league.

Lakers' LeBron James: Ekes out double-double in loss
James amassed 18 points (7-16 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds and 10 assists in 35 minutes during Tuesday's 127-100 loss to the Suns.
James provided just enough assists to record another double-double while replicating his 18-point total from his previous game against the Nuggets. By James' standards, an 18-point total is well below what one would typically expect, but those who depend on the All-Star for production shouldn't be too concerned. His 23.3-point average through 17 games is a career low, but his ability to distribute the ball is offsetting the scoring decrease.

Lakers' LeBron James: Limited to 18 points in loss
James finished Saturday's 127-102 loss to the Nuggets with 18 points (7-17 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds, seven assists and three steals across 35 minutes.
This was one of James' worst performances of the season from a scoring perspective, but the soon-to-be 40-year-old forward salvaged his fantasy stat line by notching solid numbers in other categories, such as rebounds, assists and steals. James has failed to reach the 20-point mark in just three of his 11 outings in November, and he continues to defy Father Time every time he steps on the court. James is averaging 24.7 points, 10.3 assists and 8.7 rebounds per contest since the beginning of November.

Lakers' LeBron James: Logs 14 points in fourth quarter
James accumulated 31 points (12-22 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 10 rebounds, seven assists and one block over 37 minutes during Thursday's 119-118 loss to the Magic.
James did most of his damage in the final stanza as the team tried to climb back into the game. James ended a few assists short of his sixth triple-double of the season. James and Anthony Davis are enjoying one of the most productive starts ever as teammates, and with renewed production from their supporting cast, the team's outlook is bright.

Lakers' LeBron James: Double-doubles with 12 assists
James supplied 26 points (9-17 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 7-11 FT), two rebounds and 12 assists across 34 minutes during Tuesday's 124-118 victory over the Jazz.
James was visibly impressed with Dalton Knecht's performance, and the rookie was partly responsible for the All-Star's lofty assist total. James and Anthony Davis both scored 26 points, and their ability to record big numbers simultaneously is a big reason why the team is off to a 10-4 start. The duo sometimes suffers with poor results from the supporting cast, but Knecht's three-point barrage allowed them to make plays and keep the defense guessing.

Lakers' LeBron James: Takes over in fourth quarter
James delivered 21 points (8-19 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 3-5 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and a steal across 37 minutes in Saturday's 104-99 win over the Pelicans.
James was unable to extend his streak of consecutive triple-doubles to five games and was having a relatively down performance early, at least by his recent standards. However, he took over in the fourth quarter when the Lakers needed him most and scored 11 of his 21 points in the final 12 minutes. James' triple-double streak ended in this low-scoring win, but he remains an above-average source of fantasy production even though he's only a few weeks away from turning 40 years old.

Lakers' LeBron James: Extends triple-double streak Friday
James finished Friday's 120-115 win over the Spurs with 15 points (6-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 16 rebounds, 12 assists and one steal over 38 minutes.
James made history Wednesday by being the oldest player in NBA history to record a triple-double in three consecutive games, which he extended to four games Friday. He continues to play at an elite level despite inching closer to 40 years old, and to start the 2024-25 regular season he is averaging 23.5 points on 52.3 percent shooting (including 44.6 percent from three on 5.4 3PA/G), 9.6 assists and 8.8 rebounds over 35.3 minutes per game.

Lakers' LeBron James: Makes history in win Wednesday
James provided 35 points (13-22 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 5-8 FT), 12 rebounds, 14 assists and one steal across 37 minutes during Wednesday's 128-123 win over the Grizzlies.
James became the oldest player in NBA history to record three straight triple-doubles, passing the record he previously established in 2019. He's showing no signs of slowing despite being close to turning 40 years old, and the numbers back that up -- even if he doesn't have the same usage rate he had in previous years. James is averaging 26.8 points, 11.7 assists, 9.2 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game since the beginning of November.
