Reid did his best to keep the Timberwolves' season alive Friday, with the veteran big man finishing as the team's third-leading scorer behind Anthony Edwards (24 points) and Terrence Shannon (21 points). Reid injured his ankle early in the fourth quarter but returned to the contest. He was also involved in the game's pivotal news item, as he was on the receiving end of Victor Wembanyama's Flagrant 2 foul, which caused the MVP candidate's ejection. Reid avoided injury despite taking an elbow to the face and managed a solid line that came one rebound shy of a double-double. The series is now guaranteed to last at least two more games, and Reid's high floor will make him a solid DFS target for Game 5.

Reid went down in pain early in the fourth quarter of Sunday's contest after getting rolled up on by Luke Kornet. With Reid out of the lineup, the starting five is likely to play the majority of the remaining minutes of Game 4.
Reid closed Monday's 104-102 victory over San Antonio in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals with 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt), nine rebounds, one assist and one block over 30 minutes.
Reid's numbers are down slightly in the postseason, which comes as a bit of a surprise with so many injuries on the team. Through seven games, he's averaging 11.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists on 47.8 percent shooting from the field.
Reid (ankle) returned to Monday's Game 5 of the Western Conference first-round series against Denver during the fourth quarter, Jace Frederick of St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Reid left Monday's Game 5 of the Western Conference first-round series against the Nuggets with an apparent right ankle injury, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com reports.
Tim Hardaway looked to step on Reid's foot, causing the LSU product to turn his ankle. He was down in pain immediately after the play but was later able to limp back to the locker room under his own power. Reid can be considered questionable to return until further notice.

Ayo Dosunmu stole the show during Saturday's win, but Reid chipped in with quality minutes off the bench, finishing one rebound shy of a double-double. The Timberwolves find themselves up 3-1 in the series heading into Game 5 in Denver on Monday, but Reid and the rest of the role players will need to step up even more now that they will be without Donte DiVincenzo (Achilles) and Anthony Edwards (knee).

Reid scored no more than five points for the second time in the past three games, continuing what has been a somewhat quiet series. Through three appearances, he has averaged just 7.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.0 three-pointers. The two teams will meet again in Minnesota on Saturday, when the Timberwolves will look to put a stranglehold on the series.
