Kings' Dennis Schroder: Joining Sacramento
Schroder agreed to a three-year, $45 million contract with the Kings on Tuesday, NBA reporter Chris Haynes reports.
After the trade of De'Aaron Fox, Malik Monk became the Kings' starting point guard, but they could certainly use more depth, and Schroder fills that void with veteran leadership. The floor general averaged 13.1 points, 5.4 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game across 75 regular-season contests in 2024-25 while suiting for the Nets, Warriors and Pistons.

Pistons' Dennis Schroder: Flirts with double-double
Schroder closed with nine points (3-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, nine assists and one steal over 30 minutes during Thursday's 116-113 loss to the Knicks in Game 6 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Schroder fell just short of a double-double, doing everything he could to try and get the Pistons over the line. While the result was not what fans wanted to see, there are plenty of positives to take out of the season. While Schroder played a key role for Detroit down the stretch, the return of Jaden Ivey (lower leg) next season will almost certainly impact what Schroder can do.

Pistons' Dennis Schroder: Scores six points in loss
Schroder had six points (2-4 FG, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, two assists and three steals across 27 minutes during Sunday's 94-93 loss to the Knicks in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
This wasn't Schroder's best game, but the Pistons continue to rely heavily on the veteran guard. Through four games, he's seen 28.0 minutes per night with 13.0 points, 2.5 assists, 2.5 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.1 three-pointers, but he's shooting just 37.8 percent from the field.

Pistons' Dennis Schroder: Paces second unit in loss
Schroder posted 18 points (6-9 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and two assists across 30 minutes during Thursday's 118-116 loss to New York in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Schroder finished as the club's third-leading scorer while pacing the second unit with 18 points. The veteran guard has totaled 38 points over his last two games and should continue to play a key role off the Pistons' bench as the team attempts to overcome a 2-1 series deficit. Schroder is averaging 15.3 points, 2.7 assists and 2.3 rebounds across 28.3 minutes per game during the first round.

Pistons' Dennis Schroder: Shines off bench in Game 2 victory
Schroder provided 20 points (6-10 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), two rebounds and three assists over 29 minutes during Monday's 100-94 victory over the Knicks in Game 2 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Schroder gave Detroit a big spark off the bench in Monday's Game 2 contest, leading all bench players in scoring behind a team-high mark from three and finishing as one of two Pistons with 20 or more points. Schroder, who hit the go-ahead shot with just under a minute left in Game 2, posted his first game of the first-round series with a double-digit point total.

Pistons' Dennis Schroder: Hands out eight dimes off bench
Schroder ended Friday's 125-119 loss to the Bucks with 12 points (5-10 FG, 2-3 3Pt), three rebounds and eight assists in 28 minutes.
Schroder has played off the bench in his last two outings, and the veteran guard will remain in that role if Cade Cunningham remains healthy in the postseason. Schroder can put up solid numbers if given enough minutes, but his fantasy upside will be limited in that bench role, particularly if Cunningham's minutes hover around the 38-to-40 range. Schroder is averaging 11.7 points, 5.5 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game in 21 appearances since the beginning of March (eight starts).

Pistons' Dennis Schroder: Contributes in return to bench
Schroder recorded eight points (3-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal over 27 minutes in Thursday's 115-106 win over the New York Knicks.
Schroder returned to the Pistons bench Thursday due to Tobias Harris (heel) returning from a three-game absence, pitching in off the bench while finishing two points short of the double-digit mark. Schroder stepped in nicely in the starting lineup over the previous eight contests, averaging 12.1 points, 6.5 assists and 3.4 rebounds over that span.

Pistons' Dennis Schroder: Sliding to second unit vs. New York
Schroder won't start in Thursday's game against the Knicks.
The veteran guard will retreat to the bench due to Tobias Harris (heel) returning from a three-game absence. Schroder has averaged 11.8 points and 5.2 assists across 23.2 minutes per game in his last five outings off the bench.

Pistons' Dennis Schroder: Minimal impact in loss
Schroder totaled five points (1-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-4 FT), three rebounds and two assists across 32 minutes during Monday's 127-117 loss to the Kings.
Schroder made his eighth consecutive start Monday but wasn't much of a factor in the defeat. The 31-year-old had been starting in place of Cade Cunningham (calf) but has started alongside Cunningham the past two games with Tobias Harris (heel) out. During his eight straight starts, Schroder has averaged 12.1 points, 6.5 assists and 3.4 rebounds on 33.3 percent shooting across 33.5 minutes per game.

Pistons' Dennis Schroder: Hands out seven dimes Wednesday
Schroder provided 15 points (6-18 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and seven assists in 40 minutes during Wednesday's 119-103 loss to the Thunder.
Schroder has started in each of his last five outings due to the absence of Cade Cunningham (calf), and the veteran floor general, who's playing for a third different team this season, has done a good job in his absence. Schroder is averaging 13.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 7.8 assists and 0.6 steals per game over those five starts, and he's expected to remain in the first unit until Cunningham is ready to return to the hardwood. A scenario in which Schroder remains the Pistons' starting point guard until the end of the regular season can't be ruled out.

Pistons' Dennis Schroder: Hands out 11 assists
Schroder supplied 11 points (3-12 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), four rebounds and 11 assists in 33 minutes during Sunday's 123-104 loss to Minnesota.
Schroder recorded a double-double for the second consecutive outing, and the veteran floor general continues to deliver solid numbers while replacing Cade Cunningham (calf) in the starting lineup. Schroder has started in the Pistons' last four games, averaging 12.8 points, 8.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game, and he should remain in the starting unit until Cunningham is deemed ready to return.

Pistons' Dennis Schroder: Active Sunday
Schroder (quadriceps) is available for Sunday's game against the Timberwolves.
Schroder found himself on the injury report with a quad bruise, but he will be able to play through it Sunday. With Cade Cunningham (calf) out of the lineup, Schroder could be in line for an increased workload.

Pistons' Dennis Schroder: Dealing with quad bruise
Schroder (quadriceps) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Timberwolves.
Schroder may have picked up the injury during Friday's 133-122 win over the Cavaliers, though it doesn't appear to be severe enough for him to be in jeopardy of missing Sunday's game. Schroder has started in the Pistons' last three games due to the absence of Cade Cunningham (calf), and over that span Schroder has averaged 13.3 points, 7.0 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.0 steals over 32.3 minutes per game.

Pistons' Dennis Schroder: Starting sans Cunningham
