Tucker signed two 10-day contracts with New York in March before landing a one-year deal with the club in April. The veteran forward made only one postseason appearance, and the Knicks hold a team option on his contract for next season. Should the 40-year-old choose to continue playing, he'll likely serve as sparsely deployed veteran depth considering his age.
Tucker is not in the starting lineup for Game 1 against the Pistons on Saturday, Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News reports.
The Knicks will revert to their regular starting lineup in the series opener against Detroit, meaning Tucker returns to his bench role. The veteran forward isn't expected to have a sizable role in the postseason.

The Raptors recently waived Tucker after he was shipped to Toronto ahead of the NBA trade deadline in February. Although his status was in doubt for the rest of the season, he'll have an ideal opportunity to prove he still has some basketball left in him in New York, with the Knicks needing some depth on the roster after Jalen Brunson's ankle injury.

Tucker isn't expected to suit up for the Raptors and is reportedly waiting for his contract to get bought out. If Tucker and Toronto can't come to an agreement, the veteran forward will likely remain sidelined indefinitely.
Tucker (personal) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Heat.
Tucker has yet to play in a game this season and is currently in discussions to get bought out by the Raptors after getting traded to Toronto as part of the massive trade that resulted in Jimmy Butler landing with the Warriors. It remains to be seen what the future holds for the defensive-minded forward.

Tucker refused to suit up for the Clippers this season. He was traded to Miami as part of the multi-team trade that sent Jimmy Butler to Golden State on Wednesday, and then Tucker was shipped to the Raptors on Thursday in exchange for Davion Mitchell. If he's bought out, contenders would certainly be interested in acquiring Tucker, though it sounds like the veteran will have the last say on where he plays next.
