Astros' Spencer Arrighetti: Bounces back with no-decision
Arrighetti allowed two runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out seven over 6.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Athletics on Tuesday.
Arrighetti gave up a run in each of the first two innings, including a solo home run to Zack Gelof, but he was able to settle in after that. This was a good bounce-back performance for Arrighetti after he failed to complete one inning in Cincinnati in his previous start. The rookie right-hander is now at a 4.72 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 158:61 K:BB through 131.2 innings over 26 starts this season, though he's allowed three or more runs just four times in his last nine starts. Arrighetti is projected to make his next start at San Diego with the Astros expected to use a six-man rotation this week.

Astros' Spencer Arrighetti: Rough night vs. Reds
Arrighetti (7-12) took the loss Wednesday against Cincinnati, allowing nine runs on six hits and three walks over two-thirds of an inning. He struck out one.
After pitching to a 1.95 ERA with 47 strikeouts across five starts (32.1 innings) in August, Arrighetti got off to a brutal start in September, allowing a season-high nine runs while failing to make it out of the first inning. The rookie right-hander's ERA shot up to 5.26 with a 1.44 WHIP and 151:60 K:BB through 125 innings this season. Arrighetti will look to put Wednesday's effort behind him in his next outing, currently scheduled for next week at home against the A's.

Arrighetti dominated a potent Phillies lineup, racking up 11 strikeouts and bringing a no-hitter into the eighth inning before an Austin Hays infield single broke up the bid. The 24-year-old has been on a tear in August, posting a robust 1.95 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 13.1 K/9 in 32.1 innings (five starts). Arrighetti has recorded three double-digit strikeout outings in August while lowering his ERA from 5.58 to 4.63. One of the hottest pitchers in baseball, Arrighetti will look to keep rolling in his next start, currently scheduled for next week in Cincinnati.

Arrighetti (6-11) notched the victory against Baltimore on Thursday, allowing three hits and issuing one walk while striking out six batters over six scoreless innings.
Arrighetti began August with two excellent outings before stumbling with a 5.2-inning, four-run loss to the White Sox last Friday. The rookie bounced back with one of his best starts of the season Thursday, as he allowed just four total baserunners and retired the final eight batters he faced. Arrighetti also collected his fourth quality start over his past five outings, a span during which he has a 2.93 ERA and 44:8 K:BB across 30.2 frames.

Astros' Spencer Arrighetti: Stumbles against White Sox
Arrighetti (5-11) allowed four runs on seven hits and two walks over 5.2 innings Friday, striking out five and taking a loss against the White Sox.
Most of the damage against Arrighetti came off the bat of Luis Robert, who went deep twice. Arrighetti is now 1-4 over his last five starts despite a respectable 4.11 ERA and an impressive 41:8 K:BB during that stretch. He now owns a 5.20 ERA with a 134:52 K:BB through 110.2 innings this season. Arrighetti has thrown at least six innings in five of his last six outings. His next start is projected to be in Baltimore.
