Giants' Jose Cruz: Re-signed to minors deal
Cruz signed a minor-league contract with the Giants on Nov. 20.
The Giants non-tendered Cruz on Nov. 17 but will give him another chance to work his way through their farm system. The 23-year-old right-hander pitched to a 4.47 ERA and 67:38 K:BB over 44.1 innings of relief between High-A Eugene and Double-A Richmond in 2023.

Cruz was non-tendered by the Giants on Friday.
A 23-year-old reliever who has never pitched above Double-A, Cruz logged a 6.66 ERA and 31 walks in 25.2 innings at Double-A in 2023.

Giants' Jose Cruz: Sent to minors
The Giants optioned Cruz to minor-league camp Sunday, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
It appears Cruz was sent to Triple-A Sacramento despite the fact he spent last season at the Single-A level. The 22-year-old produced a 2.06 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 86:23 K:BB over 52.1 innings for San Jose last season, which was his first action above rookie ball.
