Schneider will take a seat after he went 0-for-2 with a walk, a run scored and two strikeouts in Sunday's 8-4 loss to the Athletics. The Blue Jays have now held Schneider out of the lineup for four of their past five matchups with right-handed pitchers, and he looks like he could fall into the short side of a platoon with Will Wagner at second base or Joey Loperfido in left field.

Schneider will sit down for the second time in Toronto's last three games after going just 2-for-18 with seven strikeouts across his last five contests. Spencer Horwitz will cover second base instead, and a spot in the lineup will open up for Addison Barger to start in right field while batting eighth.
Schneider is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against Baltimore.
After making four consecutive starts, Schneider will take a seat for Tuesday's contest. The 25-year-old has settled into a regular role at second base after the Blue Jays' moves at the trade deadline. However, it'll be Leo Jimenez playing the keystone Tuesday.

After starting at second base and going 1-for-4 with three strikeouts in the Blue Jays' 11-5 loss in Game 1, Schneider will stick in the starting nine for the nightcap. He's now picked up eight starts in the Blue Jays' last 10 contests, and he should have a path to a regular spot in the lineup after Justin Turner was traded to the Mariners earlier Tuesday.
Schneider went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Sunday's win over the Tigers.
The 25-year-old utility player has yet to be caught stealing this season in four attempts, with his last pilfer before Sunday coming May 22. Schneider has started to pick his pace back up at the plate, going 7-for-19 (.368) while starting six of the last nine games, but all seven knocks have been singles, and he's added just one RBI and three runs.
