  • Giants' Seth Corry: Re-ups with San Francisco

Corry signed a minor-league contract with the Giants on Thursday, Melissa Lockard of The Athletic reports.

Corry, 25, was a borderline top-100 prospect a few years ago but has had his career sidetracked by injury. He threw 34 innings over four stops in the Giants' system last season, posting a 5.03 ERA and 52:18 K:BB.

  • Giants' Seth Corry: Settles at Single-A

High-A Eugene reinstated Corry (shoulder) from its 7-day injured list Tuesday and assigned him to Single-A San Jose.

Corry made two starts for Eugene in 2022 but has yet to make his 2023 debut for the affiliate after he opened the current campaign on the shelf while finishing up his recovery from the left shoulder surgery he underwent last May. After beginning a rehab assignment in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on June 5, Corry built up to four innings over the course of four starts before shifting his assignment to San Jose on June 28. Since reporting to the California League, the 24-year-old southpaw has given up eight earned runs on 16 hits and four walks while striking out nine in nine innings over his three starts with San Jose.

  • Giants' Seth Corry: Moving rehab to San Jose

Corry (shoulder) is being assigned to Single-A San Jose to continue his rehab assignment, Jeff Young of Round The Foghorn reports.

Corry missed the majority of the 2022 campaign after undergoing surgery on his throwing shoulder, but he's since been cleared for live action and has fared well in the Arizona Complex League. The southpaw didn't allow a run while striking out 19 and walking six across 10.2 innings with the ACL Giants Orange.

  • Giants' Seth Corry: Transferred to 60-day IL

Corry (shoulder) was transferred to the 60-day injured list at High-A Eugene on Saturday.

Corry is likely to be out for the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery on his left shoulder, so this is just a procedural move. He should be good to go fairly early on in 2023.

  • Giants' Seth Corry: Requires shoulder surgery

Corry underwent surgery on his left shoulder earlier this week and is without a clear timeline for a return, Melissa Lockard of The Athletic reports. He was placed on High-A Eugene's 7-day injured list Sunday.

The Giants plan to send him in for additional follow-up examinations with a doctor before establishing a timeline for his return, but even if Corry's procedure was an arthroscopic one, there's a good chance he'll be sidelined for the remainder of the season. The 23-year-old lefty made one start for Eugene this season, covering 2.1 innings and giving up one earned run on three hits and two walks.
