  • Angels' Jo Adell: Homers again Wednesday

Adell went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the A's.

Addell's homer proved to be the difference in the Angels' win -- he launched a two-strike fastball from Osvaldo Bido 422 feet to extend the lead to 6-3 in an eventual one-run victory. The 26-year-old Adell has been on a tear at the plate recently, going 6-for-17 (.353) with four home runs in his last five games. He's boosted his slash line to .223/.296/.473 with 13 homers, 34 RBI, 23 runs scored and two steals across 203 plate appearances this season.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Stays hot Monday

Adell went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two additional RBI in Monday's 7-4 win over the Athletics.

Adell's fourth-inning homer stretched the Angels' lead to 4-0, and he added a two-run single for insurance in the eighth. The outfielder is up to 12 homers on the year, six of which he's swatted over his last nine games, a span in which he is 9-for-29 (.310) with 10 RBI. Adell is now at a .226/.297/.469 slash line over 58 contests, but he's added 90 points to his OPS just since the end of May (.676 to .766), which is enough to keep him firmly in a starting role in center field.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Swats two homers in win

Adell went 3-for-3 with two home runs, a walk and three RBI in Saturday's 8-6 win over the Mariners.

Adell is now up to 11 homers on the year. He's hit five of them over his last seven games, going 7-for-22 (.318) with seven RBI in that span. The outfielder is at his best when he's hitting for power, and this surge comes at a good time with Mike Trout preparing to rejoin the mix in the outfield soon. Adell has slashed .224/.298/.459 with 29 RBI, 20 runs scored, two stolen bases and seven doubles across 188 plate appearances. He's holding down a starting job in center field and will likely continue to do so as long as he doesn't go cold at the plate.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Double dips on deep balls

Adell went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs during Monday's 7-6 victory over the Red Sox.

Adell hit his eighth home run as part of a six-run Angels first inning then left the yard a second time to deliver the squad a massive insurance run it turned out they would need. The slugging outfielder now has three home runs in his last three games and six hits in his last four contests and is slashing .215/.283/.440 for the season.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Smacks two-run homer

Adell went 1-for-3 with one walk and a two-run homer in Saturday's 7-5 loss to the Guardians.

Adell extended the Angels' lead to four runs in the fourth frame, when he took Slade Cecconi deep to right-center field for a two-run homer. It was Adell's seventh home run of the season, five of which came in May. He'll end the month with an .836 OPS and 10 RBI in 76 plate appearances, though he still has an underwhelming .212/.279/.397 slash line on the year.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Hits trifecta Friday

Adell went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI during Friday's 4-1 victory over the Guardians.

Adell picked up a trio of hits for the second time this season, driving in his 22nd run of the season in the process. The 26-year-old has had a tough go at the plate so far this season, slashing .209/.273/.338 on the year, but he has had a good week at the plate. Since May 24, he is batting .368 (7-for-19) with two doubles and two RBI.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Idle Wednesday

Adell isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Yankees, Jack Janes of TheSportingTribune.com reports.

After going 3-for-7 with an RBI and a walk during the first two games of the series, Adell will grab a seat on the bench for Wednesday's finale. While he rests, Taylor Ward, Chris Taylor and Jorge Soler will start across the outfield.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Taking seat Friday

Adell is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Marlins, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Jorge Soler will make the start in right field, as Logan O'Hoppe is at designated hitter with Travis d'Arnaud behind the plate. Adell is slumping at the plate, slashing .063/.318/.250 over the last seven days.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Shows positive sign with homer

Adell went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk Wednesday in a 10-5 win against the Athletics.

Adell entered Wednesday in a prolonged slump at the plate -- over his previous 26 games, he batted .155 with a 4:21 BB:K. The outfielder was able to get going a bit Wednesday, swatting a 416-foot solo homer in the fourth inning for his first long ball in his past 10 contests and later taking a walk. Adell did strike out twice, though, and his K rate on the season is a poor 27.2 percent. He's still getting regular opportunities, starting in four of the Angels' past five contests, but his value in fantasy has been mostly limited to his power -- he's slugged six home runs but has just one stolen base and a .190 batting average over 136 plate appearances.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Taking seat Friday

Adell isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against the Dodgers, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

Adell will grab a seat on the bench Friday after going 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored during the Halos' last series in San Diego. His absence will put Jorge Soler in right field, moving Luis Rengifo into the DH spot while Tim Anderson starts at the keystone.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Knocks fifth homer

Adell went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Orioles.

Adell is clawing back some playing time with power -- he's homered three times over his last five games. All of those long balls have been solo shots, but it's part of a 5-for-14 run at the plate in that span. The outfielder is up to five homers, 17 RBI, eight runs scored, one steal and a .200/.236/.381 slash line through 32 contests. Adell's numbers wouldn't warrant a full-time role if the Angels' outfield was fully healthy, but the team is missing Mike Trout (knee) and Gustavo Campero (knee), and neither of those players is expected to return within the next week.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Goes deep Thursday

Adell went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Blue Jays on Thursday.

Adell made just his second start in the Angels' past six games, getting the nod in right field and batting eighth in the order. He took advantage of the opportunity, belting a 402-foot shot to left field in the second inning for his fourth homer of the season. Adell had been a lineup regular prior to the past week and may be in line to regain consistent playing time as Gustavo Campero deals with an ankle injury.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Sits for fourth time in five games

Adell is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays.

The Angels are giving Logan O'Hoppe a day off from catching but are keeping his bat in the lineup at designated hitter. As a result, Adell will be the odd man out of the lineup, as the Angels' usual DH, Jorge Soler, will cover right field. Even though the Angels lost Mike Trout (knee) to the injured list Friday, Adell's playing-time outlook has worsened over the past week. He's on the bench for the fourth time in five games, and the Angels seem to be prioritizing Kyren Paris and possibly even Gustavo Campero (ankle) ahead of Adell.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Homers off bench Tuesday

Adell went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 8-3 win over the Blue Jays.

Adell's playing time has been trending downward to begin May, and he was on the bench for the third time in four games Tuesday. However, Gustavo Campero left this contest with an ankle injury, and if he misses time, that could allow Adell to be in the lineup more regularly moving forward. Adell could help his own cause with better hitting -- he's batting .183 with three homers, 15 RBI, six runs scored and a stolen base over 98 plate appearances this season. However, he doesn't have all that high of a ceiling after hitting .207 with a .682 OPS in 130 games last year.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Riding bench again

Adell is not in the Angels' lineup against the Blue Jays on Tuesday.

Tuesday's game will be the third time Adell is not in the starting lineup over the Angels' last four games going back to May 2. When he did play May 4 against the Tigers, he went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts. Without the 26-year-old starting Tuesday, Taylor Ward, Kyren Paris and Gustavo Campero are the Angels' starting outfielders versus Toronto.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Out of lineup again

Adell is not in the Angels' starting lineup against the Tigers on Saturday, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

Adell is out of the lineup for a second straight game while Taylor Ward, Kyren Paris and Gustavo Campero man the outfield Saturday. Adell has gone 1-for-16 with one run scored and five strikeouts over his last five games.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Sitting Friday

Adell is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Tigers, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Adell will get a day to regroup Friday after going just 2-for-25 with eight strikeouts across his last eight games. Kyren Paris will cover for him in center field, opening up second base for Tim Anderson.

  • Angels' Jo Adell: Getting rare day off

Adell is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game in Seattle.

Adell had started each of the last 10 contests but will begin Wednesday's contest on the bench. Kyren Paris will start in center field and bat eighth for the Angels.
