Adell went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the A's.
Addell's homer proved to be the difference in the Angels' win -- he launched a two-strike fastball from Osvaldo Bido 422 feet to extend the lead to 6-3 in an eventual one-run victory. The 26-year-old Adell has been on a tear at the plate recently, going 6-for-17 (.353) with four home runs in his last five games. He's boosted his slash line to .223/.296/.473 with 13 homers, 34 RBI, 23 runs scored and two steals across 203 plate appearances this season.

Angels' Jo Adell: Stays hot Monday
Adell went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two additional RBI in Monday's 7-4 win over the Athletics.
Adell's fourth-inning homer stretched the Angels' lead to 4-0, and he added a two-run single for insurance in the eighth. The outfielder is up to 12 homers on the year, six of which he's swatted over his last nine games, a span in which he is 9-for-29 (.310) with 10 RBI. Adell is now at a .226/.297/.469 slash line over 58 contests, but he's added 90 points to his OPS just since the end of May (.676 to .766), which is enough to keep him firmly in a starting role in center field.

Adell went 3-for-3 with two home runs, a walk and three RBI in Saturday's 8-6 win over the Mariners.
Adell is now up to 11 homers on the year. He's hit five of them over his last seven games, going 7-for-22 (.318) with seven RBI in that span. The outfielder is at his best when he's hitting for power, and this surge comes at a good time with Mike Trout preparing to rejoin the mix in the outfield soon. Adell has slashed .224/.298/.459 with 29 RBI, 20 runs scored, two stolen bases and seven doubles across 188 plate appearances. He's holding down a starting job in center field and will likely continue to do so as long as he doesn't go cold at the plate.

Adell picked up a trio of hits for the second time this season, driving in his 22nd run of the season in the process. The 26-year-old has had a tough go at the plate so far this season, slashing .209/.273/.338 on the year, but he has had a good week at the plate. Since May 24, he is batting .368 (7-for-19) with two doubles and two RBI.

Adell entered Wednesday in a prolonged slump at the plate -- over his previous 26 games, he batted .155 with a 4:21 BB:K. The outfielder was able to get going a bit Wednesday, swatting a 416-foot solo homer in the fourth inning for his first long ball in his past 10 contests and later taking a walk. Adell did strike out twice, though, and his K rate on the season is a poor 27.2 percent. He's still getting regular opportunities, starting in four of the Angels' past five contests, but his value in fantasy has been mostly limited to his power -- he's slugged six home runs but has just one stolen base and a .190 batting average over 136 plate appearances.

Adell's playing time has been trending downward to begin May, and he was on the bench for the third time in four games Tuesday. However, Gustavo Campero left this contest with an ankle injury, and if he misses time, that could allow Adell to be in the lineup more regularly moving forward. Adell could help his own cause with better hitting -- he's batting .183 with three homers, 15 RBI, six runs scored and a stolen base over 98 plate appearances this season. However, he doesn't have all that high of a ceiling after hitting .207 with a .682 OPS in 130 games last year.
