Orioles' Andrew Kittredge: Facing hitters Wednesday
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Monday that Kittredge (knee) will throw a live batting practice session Wednesday, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Kittredge will face hitters for the first time since he underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee during spring training. The veteran reliever's rehab has some along more quickly than anticipated and he could be ready to return from the 15-day injured list before the end of May.

Kittredge threw his first mound session over the weekend and seems to be flying through his return from arthroscopic knee surgery. The veteran right-hander could face live batters in about two weeks. Kittredge had originally been given a June/July timeframe for his recovery.

Orioles' Andrew Kittredge: IL move made
The Orioles placed Kittredge on the 15-day injured list Thursday due to his recovery from left knee surgery, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
The transaction is procedural in nature and clears a spot on Baltimore's 26-man active roster. Kittredge isn't expected back until June or July following surgery in early March, so he could be a candidate to eventually shift to the 60-day IL.

Orioles' Andrew Kittredge: Expected back in June or July
Kittredge (knee) said Wednesday that his timetable for a return is between June and the All-Star break, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.
The veteran right-hander added that he is optimistic he can make it back on the earlier side of that timetable. Kittredge's knee had begun nagging him during live bullpens this spring, which ultimately led to left knee debridement surgery last Friday. Baltimore signed Kittredge to a one-year, $10 million contract in January, and he will likely pitch important innings for the team down the stretch, if healthy.

Kittredge was pulled from Grapefruit League action after experiencing soreness in his left knee prior to this past Saturday's game against the Pirates. The 34-year-old right-hander underwent an MRI on his knee and opted to undergo surgery after receiving multiple opinions. Bautista's usage will be limited in the first half as he comes back from Tommy John surgery, as he won't pitch back-to-back days or go more than one inning.
