Turner went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 3-0 win over Atlanta.

Phillies' Trea Turner: Receiving rare day off
Turner is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins.
Turner went 2-for-16 at the dish over the Phillies' last four games and hadn't had a day off since July 31, so manager Rob Thomson will give the veteran shortstop a chance to regroup before Philadelphia opens a four-game series with Washington on Thursday. Edmundo Sosa will replace Turner at shortstop and bat seventh.

Turner went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's loss to the Diamondbacks.
