Braves' Jorge Soler: Returns to lineup, as expected
Soler (hamstring) will start in right field and bat second in Friday's game against the Nationals.

Braves' Jorge Soler: Still eyeing weekend return
Atlanta manager Brian Snitker said Wednesday that Soler (hamstring) has been running the bases and hitting and remains on track to return to the lineup during this weekend's series versus Washington, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
Even though Soler will be out of the lineup for a sixth straight game Wednesday against the Phillies while he tends to a strained left hamstring, Atlanta remains confident that he'll avoid a stint on the injured list. In addition to classifying Soler as day-to-day, Snitker's willingness to use the 32-year-old off the bench in Tuesday's 3-1 win seemingly supports the notion that the outfielder/designated hitter will be back in the lineup soon. During his lone plate appearance Tuesday, Soler drew a walk in the bottom of the eighth inning before being lifted for a pinch runner.

Braves' Jorge Soler: Hopeful for Friday return
Soler (hamstring) said Tuesday that he thinks he'll be ready to play in Friday's series opener with the Nationals, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
Soler has been sidelined since Aug. 14 due to a strained left hamstring, but Atlanta chose not to place him on the injured list, hoping for a swift recovery. He'll miss a fifth straight game Tuesday and likely at least two more contests after that, but Soler looks like he'll be ready to go over the weekend. Ramon Laureano has been serving as the primary replacement in right field in Soler's stead.

Braves' Jorge Soler: Held out again Tuesday
Soler (hamstring) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Phillies.
Soler has now been out of the lineup for five straight games after exiting a game last Wednesday with a left hamstring strain. There's been no indication to this point that a trip to the 10-day injured list might be required, but that will become a possibility if the issue continues to linger. Ramon Laureano will again handle right field for Atlanta on Tuesday.

Braves' Jorge Soler: Sitting again Sunday
Soler (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.
The 32-year-old indicated Friday that he didn't expect to play this weekend in Anaheim, so it's not a surprise he's out of the starting nine Sunday for the fourth straight game. Ramon Laureano will again man right field in Soler's place while Michael Harris bats leadoff.

Braves' Jorge Soler: Diagnosed with hamstring strain
Atlanta manager Brian Snitker said after Thursday's 6-0 loss to the Giants that Soler has been diagnosed with a mild left hamstring strain, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Soler was forced out early in Wednesday's 13-2 win with the hamstring injury, then sat out the series finale while he awaited the results of an MRI. Snitker labeled Soler as day-to-day after the MRI results came in, leaving Atlanta optimistic that the 32-year-old outfielder won't require a stint on the injured list. According to Mark Bowman of MLB.com, Soler said he will sit out Friday's series opener against the Angels, but he also noted that he's feeling better after a day of rest and may be able to return to the lineup at some point later in the weekend.

Braves' Jorge Soler: Makes precautionary exit
Soler was removed from Wednesday's game against the Giants due to left hamstring tightness.
Soler presumably tweaked his hamstring while running to first base on a groundout in the fourth inning, as he was replaced in the field to start the bottom half of the frame. His removal was described as precautionary, so his injury likely isn't too serious, but Atlanta will monitor his condition heading into Thursday's game.

Braves' Jorge Soler: Won't play Thursday
Manager Brian Snitker said after Wednesday's 13-2 win over the Giants that Soler (hamstring) will not play in Thursday's series finale in San Francisco, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Soler injured his hamstring while running to first base in the fourth inning of Wednesday's contest, and while the overall concern level regarding his injury seems low, Atlanta will take a cautious approach and hold him out for at least one game. The slugging outfielder is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Thursday, per Toscano, which will help Atlanta determine if Soler will need to miss any more time.

Braves' Jorge Soler: Slugs two homers in loss
Soler went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs and four RBI in Sunday's 9-8 loss to Colorado.
Soler helped Atlanta build an 8-2 lead with a three-run blast in the seventh inning and a solo shot in the eighth, but the team's bullpen couldn't make that lead last. Hitting in Colorado went extremely well for Soler this weekend -- he went 7-for-13 with four homers and nine RBI during the three-game series. He's now slashing .246/.336/.442 with 16 homers, 50 RBI, 64 runs scored, 24 doubles and a stolen base over 103 contests this season. He'll look to keep his bat hot against his most recent former team as Atlanta visits San Francisco for a four-game set starting Monday.
