  • Ducks' Roger McQueen: Breaks out with three points

McQueen scored twice on six shots and added an assist in Providence College's 6-1 win over Merrimack College on Friday.

The pair of goals were McQueen's first of the season. He's picked up eight points and 25 PIM through 10 contests to begin his collegiate career. The 19-year-old forward is a first-round pick (10th overall) of the Ducks in 2025, so it's good to see him hit the ground running on offense after stepping up from the WHL. McQueen has also stayed healthy so far this season after missing a large part of 2024-25 with a back injury. McQueen is a long-term project for fantasy -- expect him to use up multiple years in college, and he may need some AHL time before he's ready to help the Ducks.

  • Flyers' Jett Luchanko: Earns four points in Storm win

Luchanko scored a goal and added three assists in OHL Guelph's 8-5 win over Windsor on Friday.

Luchanko has racked up two goals and eight assists over six games since the Flyers reassigned him to the Storm in late October. This was his best game of the season so far, but he should be a fairly regular presence on the scoresheet. Luchanko's continued strong play in the junior ranks will have him knocking on the door for an NHL job in 2026-27.

  • Rangers' Artyom Gonchar: Scores twice in OHL loss

Gonchar scored two goals on four shots in OHL Sudbury's 6-3 loss to Erie on Friday.

Gonchar has just seven points over 18 contests this season, but he's earned four of them over his last two games. The Rangers prospect may be piecing things together as he adjusts to the North American ice in his first OHL campaign.

  • Canucks' Kieren Dervin: Two-point effort Friday

Dervin scored a goal and added an assist in OHL Kingston's 4-3 overtime win over Niagara on Friday.

Dervin was steady early in the season, but he had been limited to just two helpers over his previous five outings before Friday's stronger performance. The 18-year-old Canucks prospect is at eight goals and 10 assists through 18 contests, but he can elevate his game a little more than he's shown so far. Dervin is expected to play just this one full season in the OHL before making the leap to Penn State next year.

  • Blues' Lukas Fischer: Two helpers in OHL loss

Fischer logged two assists and four shots on goal in OHL Sarnia's 9-3 loss to Ottawa on Friday.

Fischer, who is captaining the Sting this year, has produced two goals and 13 helpers over 18 games. He's earned six of his 15 points during an active five-game point streak. The 19-year-old defenseman is a second-round pick of the Blues from 2024. He's not a standout in any area, but Fischer has potential to be steady in his own zone -- he's just minus-1 this season after going a combined minus-46 while racking up 71 points over 119 regular-season outings in the last two campaigns.

  • Brady Skjei D | NSH

Predators' Brady Skjei: Posts helper in overtime

Skjei notched an assist in Friday's 2-1 overtime win over the Penguins.

Skjei has a helper in each of his last two games, the first time all year he's gotten on the scoresheet in consecutive outings. The 31-year-old set up Steven Stamkos' game-winning goal in overtime. On the year, Skjei has six assists, 26 shots on net, 14 hits, 14 blocked shots and a minus-11 rating over 19 appearances.

  • Mammoth's JJ Peterka: Tallies again in overtime loss

Peterka scored a goal on three shots and went minus-2 in Friday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Islanders.

Peterka was dropped to the third line for this contest but still saw 16:25 of ice time. He has three points over his last two games, so he may stay lower in the lineup until his offense fades. Michael Carcone moved up to take his spot on the second line, and Carcone's style is better suited to the bottom six. Overall, Peterka has six goals, 13 points, 36 shots on net and a plus-2 rating over 18 appearances this season.

  • Dylan Guenther RW | UTA

Mammoth's Dylan Guenther: Strikes on power play

Guenther scored a power-play goal on three shots in Friday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Islanders.

Guenther's tally late in the first period put the Mammoth ahead 2-1, a lead that lasted over 35 minutes. The 22-year-old winger has been in a bit of a slump lately with just two goals over seven contests in November, though the Mammoth have been held to two goals in five of those games. For the season, the shoot-first winger has seven goals, 14 points (four on the power play), 61 shots on net and a plus-1 rating over 18 appearances. He remains in a top-six role and has plenty of potential to get back on track.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Drops result in overtime

Vejmelka stopped 18 of 21 shots in Friday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Islanders.

Vejmelka couldn't make a 2-1 lead after one period stand. Jonathan Drouin got credit for the equalizer in the third period, and Matthew Schaefer's one-timer from the top of the right faceoff circle in overtime sent Vejmelka to his fourth defeat in his last six outings. He has not faced more than 25 shots in any of those games, which has led to a shaky save percentage despite the Mammoth's effective defense. The 29-year-old netminder slipped to 8-4-1 on the year with a 2.84 GAA and an .880 save percentage over 13 starts. Vejmelka will likely be called on for a challenging road start in Anaheim on Monday, which is the first half of a back-to-back set.

  • Islanders' Alexander Romanov: Plucks first apple

Romanov notched an assist in Friday's 3-2 overtime win over the Mammoth.

The helper was Romanov's first point of the season. The defenseman was slowed by an upper-body injury earlier in the campaign, which cost him five games. He's produced one assist, 12 shots on net, 25 hits, 26 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating over 13 appearances. The emergence of rookie Matthew Schaefer has meant fewer minutes for Romanov, who will mostly function as a shutdown blueliner.
